Mission Services of Hamilton Announces the Retirement of Carol Cowan-Morneau, Executive Director

With deep gratitude and heartfelt appreciation, the Board of Directors of Mission Services of Hamilton announces the retirement of our Executive Director, Carol Cowan-Morneau, effective September 30, 2025.

Carol has been a pillar of Mission Services for 29 years, serving with unwavering dedication, compassion, and visionary leadership. Since stepping into the role of Executive Director in 2016, she has guided the organization through a period of remarkable growth—expanding programs, deepening community partnerships, and advancing our mission of restoring hope and empowering people to find their way forward.

Over the past nine years, Carol has responded to the growing needs of our community with courage and innovation. From launching new facilities and services to championing collaborative solutions in homelessness & housing, mental health, addiction, gender-based violence, and food insecurity, her leadership has been both bold and deeply rooted in our core values: dignity, innovation, compassion, and excellence.

Carol’s legacy is not only reflected in the programs she helped build, but in the culture of trust, empathy, and purpose she has nurtured across the organization. Her impact will continue to be felt in the lives of those we serve and in the hearts of the team she has inspired.
