Women's Services - Inasmuch House - Child and Youth Client Advocate

Part-Time, Permanent

The Child and Youth Client Advocate uses a client-centered approach to support children and youth who are experiencing abuse and/or homelessness. The Child and Youth Client Advocate will provide trauma-informed and anti-racist anti-oppressive services.

People, Culture, and Communication - Human Resources Generalist

Contract - Part Time

As part of a shift in current Human Resources culture from administration and compliance to People, Culture and Communication, the Human Resources Generalist will help lead Mission Services of Hamilton Inc. in full cycle recruitment (including a new orientation experience), health and wellness, equity, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement. With ambitious goals ahead, this department is committed to growing our impact and results through talent, skill development and continuous support to employees at all levels. The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Director, People, Culture and Communication.

Community Services and Outreach - Willow's/Emma's Place - Client Advocate

Permanent, Part-Time

The Client Advocate will provide feminist, trauma-informed, compassionate, low barrier and innovative supports. Client Advocates will assist women, transgender and non-binary individuals whom predominantly have high acuity mental health and addictions, with meeting their basic needs. This includes access to food, showers, laundry facilities and a safe place to rest. The Client Advocate will support individual goals and plans including making referrals to appropriate community agencies/supports. The Client Advocate will assess the safety of the individuals they support and work with them to create personal safety plans as required. The Client Advocate will also provide support with developing coping strategies and education on harm reductions strategies and any other self-identified goals. The Client Advocate will prevent, manage and defuse any behavioral issues that may arise in the space, and encourage a caring, healthy, safe and positive work environment for both peers and service users.
