Board Member – Volunteer Position
Three-year term to a maximum of two consecutive terms, subject to applicable By-Laws.
Mission Services is seeking volunteer Board members whose skills, experience and community perspectives support effective governance and the organization’s strategic direction. Recruitment priorities may include experience or understanding of homelessness, domestic and intimate partner violence, addictions and mental health, governance, finance, legal, HR, risk, community systems, fund development or other priority areas identified through the Board Skills Matrix.
Men’s Emergency Services – Men’s Emergency Shelter – Shelter Support Worker – Weekends
Part-Time, 1 Year Contract
The Shelter Support Worker will work as part of a team to provide practical support and advocacy to service users from a client-centered, trauma informed, harm reduction and anti-racist, anti-oppressive perspective.

Men’s Emergency Shelter – PITCH Case Worker
Full-time, Contract (6 months)
As part of Mission Services’ Emergency Shelter Services team, the PITCH case manager will provide homelessness prevention, diversion and early homelessness intervention support to individuals on probation or parole working to secure permanent accommodations. The PITCH Case Manager will engage regularly with their service users to provide the necessary support to achieve program and participant goals

Food Services – Cook
Full-Time, Permanent
The Cook will prepare food and assist in food preparation for Mission Services’ sites. This position will require
a working knowledge, and a range of skills pertaining to, working within Health and Safety guidelines and
proper food handling techniques. The Cook will have valid Food Handler’s Certification and the ability to work
a flexible schedule of day, afternoon and weekend shifts, as required to meet the needs of the programs.
Violence Against Women’s Services – Inasmuch House – Residential Client Advocate
Relief
Position Summary:
The relief Residential Client Advocate will work from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, trauma informed, and intersectional feminist framework and uses a client centered approach to support women-identified individuals and their dependents who are experiencing abuse and/or homelessness while offering a safe space for individuals to reside during this process. The Residential Client Advocate will provide service from a client-centered approach, respecting each woman’s self-determination and personal decision-making.
