Food Services  -  Inasmuch House  -  Good Food Program Worker

Full-Time, Permanent (1 Year Contract)

Engaging with, and assisting residents, as they cook, as well as warming, and serving meals as needed. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the issues related to domestic violence and trauma and be able to respond with sensitivity and non-judgement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise, and assist residents as they cook meals for themselves and/or their children
  • Actively engage with residents while they are in the kitchen/dining space
  • In coordination with management, design comprehensive nutrition education materials and workshops that address the specific dietary needs and challenges faced by survivors of violence against women and individuals who are marginalized
  • Lead interactive and engaging nutrition workshops for residents, covering topics such as meal planning, budget-friendly cooking, and nutrition basics

Full-Time, Permanent

The full-time Residential Client Advocate at Mission Services uses a client-centered approach to support women-identified individuals and their dependents who are experiencing abuse and/or homelessness while offering a safe space for individuals residing in the Women’s Shelter during this process. The Residential Client Advocate will provide service from a trauma-informed, ARAO lens, and a client-centered approach while respecting each woman’s self-determination and personal decision making.

The Residential Client Advocate will provide service from a trauma-informed, anti-racist anti-oppressive lens, respecting each woman’s self-determination and personal decision making.
