Sheila became Mission Services’ Board Chair in September of 2022, and has served on the Board since June of 2017. Working in businesses with customer service components has given her strong skills in problem solving and dealing well with others. Sheila’s desire for her work on the Board is to create governances and policies that will strengthen the Board and the work they do to further our organizational goals.

Monique Alderman, Vice-Chair
Director of Contact Center Best Practice, Sunlife
Monique joined the board in 2018. She is passionate about supporting those in Hamilton where she was born and raised and still resides today. Monique has a passion for not for profit fundraising and operations and completed a not for profit leadership program and degree in 2021. When not spending time with family or supporting local causes, Monique is an AVP, Group Benefits at Sun Life where she looks for ways to put our clients at the heart of everything we do.

Martin Maretzki, Treasurer
Owner,ax/iz financial solutions
Martin joined Mission Services' Board of Directors in June of 2018. As a financial advisor and benefits consultant, Martin's passion is for helping people ensure their long-term wellbeing. Every day, he asks himself "Who can I help today, and how?". Martin brings this missional-spirit and compassion to his work as Treasurer on the Board.

Sandra Antoniani
Managing Partner/Owner, Antoniani Law
Sandra joined the Board in 2018, after having worked with members of the team at Mission Services on an Alternative Justice initiative in Hamilton's criminal courts. In her work as a criminal lawyer and federal prosecutor, Sandra is committed to fair and compassionate Justice, and to serving the community. She brings her passion for Justice to her service as a member of the Board.

Katherine Antoniuk
Director, Suburban Office/Industrial East, QuadReal Property Group
Katherine joined Mission Services’ Board of Directors in September of 2022. Being in a Real Estate profession gives her the opportunity to work with a variety of people and solve unique problems. Katherine uses her empathy and her passion for problem-solving and working with others to further our mission as part of our Board.

Imran Kamal
Senior Counsel, Ministry of the Attorney General
Imran joined our Board of Directors in 2020. As a Counsel for the Ministry of the Attorney General, and previously legal counsel at the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Hamilton, Imran has a passion for seeing vulnerable individuals thrive. In 2018, he started Hamilton’s chapter of Lawyers Feed the Hungry - a volunteer project for lawyers to provide meals to local youth twice a month. This led Imran to volunteering with Mission Services’ Youth Afterschool Meal Program, learning more about our organization, and connecting with our Mission, Vision, and Values. Imran is also a LSO Certified Specialist in Indigenous Legal Issues and the only child protection lawyer in Ontario with this designation.

Jo-Anne Kershaw
Counselling, Private Practice (semi-retired)
Jo-Anne began volunteering with Mission Services in December of 2018. Jo-Anne is passionate about advocating for and supporting vulnerable individuals and communities., recognizing the possibilities in others and working toward for equity for all. Her passion for helping others led her to join the Board of Directors in October of 2021.

Erika Morton (she/her)
Senior Systems Planning Officer, Canadian Observatory on Homelessness
Erika attended McMaster University where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and her Bachelor of Social Work which sparked her interest in community development and prevention-based approaches to social issues. Her work in child and youth programming inspired her to follow a career pathway that would result in building the capacity of young people to achieve their optimal wellbeing. She worked at the Social Planning and Research Council of Hamilton where she provided collaboration support with community partners and youth with lived experience of homelessness who are working together to end youth homelessness. In her current role as Senior Systems Planning Coordinator with the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness, she is keen to transfer the skills and knowledge that she has developed towards preventing and ending homelessness in Canada. In her downtime, Erika is likely to be found being amused by her cats.
