Food Services  –  Cook
Part-Time, Permanent

Position Summary:

The Cook will prepare food and assist in food preparation for Mission Services’ sites. This position will require
a working knowledge, and a range of skills pertaining to, working within Health and Safety guidelines and
proper food handling techniques. The Cook will have valid Food Handler’s Certification and the ability to work
a flexible schedule of day, afternoon and weekend shifts, as required to meet the needs of the programs.

Housing UP! Program  –  Manager, Veteran’s Homelessness Program
Full-Time, 1 Year Contract

Position Summary:

The Manager, Veteran’s Homelessness Program, will lead the implementation and operation of the Veterans Homelessness Program by developing effective service delivery systems, fostering strategic community partnerships, supporting frontline service delivery, and ensuring positive housing outcomes for veterans experiencing homelessness.

Community Services and Outreach  –  Willow’s/Emma’s Place  –  Client Advocate
Part-Time, Permanent (3 Positions)

Position Summary:

The Client Advocate will provide feminist, trauma-informed, compassionate, low barrier and innovative supports. Client Advocates will assist women, transgender and non-binary individuals whom predominantly have high acuity mental health and addictions, with meeting their basic needs. This includes access to food, showers, laundry facilities and a safe place to rest. The Client Advocate will support individual goals and plans including making referrals to appropriate community agencies/supports. The Client Advocate will assess the safety of the individuals they support and work with them to create personal safety plans as required. The Client Advocate will also provide support with developing coping strategies and education on harm reductions strategies and any other self-identified goals. The Client Advocate will prevent, manage and defuse any behavioural issues that may arise in the space, and encourage a caring, healthy, safe and positive work environment for both peers and service users.

Community Services  –  Youth Programs  –  Youth Wellness Worker
Part-Time, Permanent 

Position Summary:

The role of Youth Wellness Worker (YWW) will contribute to the development and execution of programs that address issues youth face such as poverty, food insecurity, bullying, self image issues, etc. The Worker will work in collaboration with the afterschool program Co-ordinator. This YWW will play a key role in improving access to supports and strategies to increase overall physical and mental wellness. The YWW will help to develop and implement new meal and snack planning with the participants. They will take the lead with 196+ program for grade 9 students and foster an environment where participants can mentor younger peers. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and will continuously seek improvement of the programs through different partnerships and collaborations.
