Intensive Addiction Supportive Housing (ASH) Worker – F/T

The Intensive Addiction Supportive Housing Worker will provide comprehensive community treatment and housing support to clients participating in the agency’s ASH program. Some duties may include but are not limited to: initial and on-going assessments, initial treatment planning and ongoing adjustments as required, community treatment, crisis support and management, referral and integration of required services, life skill enhancement, eviction prevention, advocacy, personal care coaching, self-efficacy promotion, transition planning and collaboration with other services.

Mission Services is recruiting a Child and Youth Advocate to provide emergency shelter services and child witness program supports to women and their dependents experiencing, threatened by and/or affected by violence and/or abuse. The successful candidate will participate in delivering Inasmuch House’s Child and Youth Program, including providing support to the Child Witness Program and Emergency Shelter Service, and providing individual and group supports to women and their dependents.

Do you have a solid knowledge of issues related to woman and child abuse and managing client cases? We are looking for a Residential Client Advocate on a full-time basis at our Violence Against Women (VAW) shelter, Inasmuch House. This person will participate in delivering services directly to clients, including assessments, referrals and telephone crisis intervention. The successful candidate will also help to ensure the overall working and safety of the shelter, such as maintaining client files, logs, and statistics.

This position is ideal for an applicant with a Social Work, Concurrent Disorders, or related post-secondary background that provides an understanding of trauma informed care, mental health issues, homelessness, addiction, poverty, and/or anti-racist/anti-oppression practices. The successful application will support staff in developing and delivering services to clients at Mission Services of Hamilton’s emergency shelter for men in downtown Hamilton. This will also include assisting with documenting evidence-based practices and planning and implementing client engagement activities.
